En 1948 llegó en barco a Buenos Aires, dejando atrás la Europa de pos-guerra, dispuesto a probar suerte en el sur del continente americano. A poco de un año de su llegada abrió su primer taller gráfico propio. En 1958 decidió especializarse en la impresión de envases de cartulina. Hoy preside un grupo industrial líder, en el que junto con la producción de envases flexibles, se dedica a la fabricación de cartulinas e incluye, además, plantaciones forestales.
En esa trayectoria ha recibido numerosos galardones, tanto nacionales como internacionales.
